I'm taking lessons on how to play the blues. Ed Johnson is my teacher (you can find him through the Gryphon Stringed Instruments website). He plays great and has a fine voice. I'm learning songs Mississippi John Hurt, Robert Johnson, Eric Clapton, Trad... Now I'm learnning some new songs - Blue Monk (T.Monk), some Merle Travis.
Fishing

Fishing. What can you say. Out in nature, near the water. It's great. Here are a coiuple of pictures I recently took on the Rogue River fishing for early steelhead . I took up fly fishing about 7 years ago though I must admit, I stll like going out in the ocean for salmon or albacore

.

Woodworking

Woodworking is something I love doing though like all other cool things, there's never enough time to do enough of it. I'm into Stickley like/Craftsman style design though I also like sleek and modern. Top to bottom below are Hall Table Detail, Mantle Mirror, both in quarter sawn oak, ebony and maple jewelry box and birch bowl.

Couple other good websites:

Travel In April of '00 I went to CHI in Holland at Den Haag. During the same trip, I spent the morning in Amsterdam prior to taking the train to Berlin. I spent the lion's share of the weekend before proceeding to Prague in the Czech Republic to work with the NetBeans/Forte people. It was a great trip.

Below are a bunch of links to image pages. There are anywhwere from six to thirty images per page (all reduced to 320x240 jpg) so depending on your internet connection, download time may be several minutes. If you want any hires copies, let me know and I'll mail them to you. I still have most of the hi-res images. If you want one, drop me an email. harry@vertelney.com

Soon, there will be a section on our trip to Wyoming: Jackson Hole, Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. It was all visually stunning.

Last year I had the opportunity to go to Paris on business. While I was there, I took a couple of vacation days. Here are some of my pictures:

Eiffel Tower
Monet's Garden (Givorney)
